Best Places:
·Lalibela Ethiopia – Rock hewn churches – Unbelievably out of this world
-The deserts of Namibia – never knew so much nothing could be so beautiful
-Driving without a guide through the Serengeti
-Luawa Plains, Zambia – it’s a bitch to get there and no one goes.
-Mana Pools, Zimbabwe – The only park in Africa where you can walk amongst the animals without a guide.
-Kenya – it’s so damned cool.

Highs:
·Meeting wife Nicole on the first trip. Meeting Aren and Marieke - two of our now best friends
-Being licked by a lion in my tent
-Seeing wild dogs
-Being charged by a rhino while walking through the bush
-Getting smacked on the arm by an elephant in our tent.
-Seeing a cheetah kill, alone, in the Masi Mara
-Trekking gorillas in Uganda
-Swimming with whale sharks and mantas in Mozambique
Lows:
-Having our first truck stolen. Twice.
Trying to get the truck out of Ethiopia
-Blowing the gearbox in a small town in Malawi, 8 days before friends were arriving two countries away.
